Same here. Can fly all day in vr no problem, but 5 minutes in a car sim and I'm feeling sick.

I've been using it with a Rift S. I'd already had the latest Oculus software installed, so no problems there. I did forget to assign a key to toggle vr as noted above, but that was easily fixed. Very impressed so far. Performance was better than I expected, very smooth even though the actual frames ...

CPUs throttle back to save power if they are just idling. If you run a demanding program then the speed should ramp up to the max.
You can force it to run flat out all the time, there's usually a setting in the BIOS, or a utility with your motherboard drivers.
