How many of these do we really need?

http://secure.simmarket.com/supression-flight-environment-2009.phtml Here's yet ANOTHER payware cloud/sky/water/effects pack... How many is that we have now? I can think of at least half a dozen off the top of my head. Look at the price! 35 Euros for some new clouds, sky, water and a few other effec...

Re: Correct me if I am wrong........................

Well the scenery is missing most of the buildings at MPA... just take a look at the airport with Google Earth and you'll see there are a hell of a lot more buildings there! Anyway, MPA is among the most bleak, gloomy and depressing places I have ever been to (if you are a fan of long, dark concrete ...

Re: Simscape Citation Sovereign no longer available?

I believe the product was pulled from sale because it allegedly contained material from an Eaglesoft product. There was a thread about it on Avsim shortly before they went down. Incidentally the "proper" Avsim forums are back online now. As for licensing and the such, I can also vaguely re...

Re: Scramble!!! Scramble!!! Scramble!!!

Purchased it yesterday and I love it! I skim read the manual, loaded up XH558 at Coff's Harbour (Australia), not exactly a place you would expect to find a Vulcan, but I have all of the FTX scenery packs for Oz and the scenery is great. The VC is stunning, very dark and moody. I blasted off from the...

Re: Is anybody more obssessed than me???

I picked up a very nice snap together model of an Emirates A380 when I was in Dubai last year. It was about 15 quid.

In the same shop they had some larger scale 777s and A340s that looked absolutely beautiful, but they were all more than 200 quid each! :o

Re: The Navy Way

A couple of years ago there was a Captain in the RFA by the name of "Cant". I never sailed with him, but by all accounts he wasn't a very nice person and wasn't at all popular with his crews. I heard on more than one occasion somebody made a change to the vowel in his name on the peg board...

Re: Could this spell the end for the Vulcan?

Over the Christmas period my Serbian girlfriend visited the UK for the first time. We went to London several times... She commented to me about how few *BRITISH* people she saw in London, how she could hear just about every language being spoken except English. I was born in London, and lived there ...

Re: AAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Well I got a reply from Alienware, a phone number to call to get a quote on repairing it. It's an 0800 number so I can't call from Belgrade, the international number is in Ireland, so I don't fancy spending 20 quid just to phone them! I'll wait until I'm home next week. Have you asked the locals abo...

Re: AAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH!

Yeah that's an idea. I might also see if I can claim anything on the contents insurance at home. One thing that bugs me is I have spent literally months installing stuff on this laptop for FS9 and FSX, as well as some other games that I have lots of mods for. I would be more than a little peeved if ...

Re: Rising from the ashes........

Best thing they could do commercially is to invent a new name Quite right! They have a very good heritage going back to the FS2000 and FS2002 days, but unfortunately most people won't remember their fantastic 747, 777 and A320 from all those years ago. What they will remember is their shocking busi...
