fs2004.co.uk free to good home!

Hello all, I hope everyone's doing well =) My old site (fs2004.co.uk) is up for renewal and as I am not an FS user any more (I've been a laptop man for a while) I don't have any inclination to keep paying for its upkeep. If anyone fancies taking it off my hands I'm happy to hand over a full site bac...

Re: Folders open in new window I don't want them to!

System restore to point to pre-IE8 install has fixed it. Nothing else is shown to have been installed since so I shall blame it on the browser.

Folders open in new window I don't want them to!

I'm getting quite frustrated with browsing my documents folders. Every time I click to open a folder it opens in a new window which irritates me a lot. I have checked control panel > folder options which is set to same window and even clicked to reset to default. If I right click on a folder 'explor...

Re: 'Disk is write protected' on removable media

Just to let you know the problem got fixed. PC Specialist sent me a new card reader (what a bugger they are to put in with this case, required some wire re-organisation) and all is well again.

Re: 'Disk is write protected' on removable media

I checked for updated drivers and no dysfunctional messages appear.

That link looked good, it was a shortcut to me manually editing the registry (scary) however it has had no effect =(

Re: 'Disk is write protected' on removable media

I am able to copy from the drives, I cannot move content onto them though. If I untick read-only (which is checked) I just get 'media is read-only' messages. As you can see in the screenshot I tried to use diskpart which returns a success message but still no luck. I found this but it seems a bit he...

Re: 'Disk is write protected' on removable media

I've been using NOD32 for nearly 3 years, I don't think there are options to protect disks and things like that.

Googling the problem comes up with plenty of people in the same boat but none of the fixes are working for me.

The USB stick works fine on my girlfriends laptop she says.
