Hi Aharon,
You might have noticed from my location that I live on a Scottish island, Stornoway (EGPO) being my local airport. Temperatures summer amd winter are often very similar and it's a cold place most of the time. I keep my house at around 20C all year round (at great expense I might add) so ...

Re: Hot CPU running Prepar3d v5
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the reply. I'm never sure what running temperatures can be expected with flightsims, the 80s probably are normal. That it got up over 100C is what bothers me and the fact that the whole system shut down obviously bothered the PC too.
The CPU is the one in my spec list/signature ...

Hot CPU running Prepar3d v5
Hi,
I'm having a problem with a very hot CPU whilst running Prepar3d v5, ORBX sceneries and Carenado regional turboprops under Win11. TBH I get the problem even with the Cessna copied over from FSX. I have monitored the temperatures and once in the air it can hit the high 90Cs. The other day it hit ...

Re: HOT HOT HOT
I really feel for you guys in the rest of the UK, I'm no fan of hot weather so if I was in those tempertures I think I would probably melt. Certainly does nothing good for my temper unfortunately. We moved up here to the Western Isles 20 years ago and the weather is usually cool and often grey ...

Re: Ukraine
Has anyone spotted the Il96 from the Russian Special Flight Squadron flying down the middle of the North Sea just currently abeam Scotland? I thought that those tw@ts were supposed to stay out of EU, UK and international airspace. Maybe it's a flight to collect expelled diplomats at least I hope ...

Re: P3D
As I'm running P3D v5.2 I thought an upgrade to the latest version would be good. Got that wrong!! :(( It seemed to trash my ORBX scenery so I decided to fix the problem and in the process made things a whole lot worse. Shame really as I like P3D and don't really fancy going through the traumas of ...

Re: JustFlight F27 v2.02
Update.
Having failed to get a stable session with the F27 and others I searched the internet to find that others had hit similar problems with other aircraft since installing the hotfix for V5.2. Looking on LM's site there is a minor update to V5.2 (5.2.22.27615) which I downloaded. I just updated ...

Re: JustFlight F27 v2.02
No, I haven't tried that. What I have discovered is that there is a folder in each F27 aircraft folder called FOKKER_F27_CHECK_files which if renamed seems to sort the problem. I have reported this yesterday to Justflight and wait to see if they make any comment.

Re: JustFlight F27 v2.02
Hi Mark,
It's a weird one this. I do have dynamic lighting switched on but all failures have occurred with summer time clear weather, I haven't tried any more demanding conditions. Oddly enough though if I start Windows10 and launch the sim then select the F27 it works fine, even for a flight. Any ...

JustFlight F27 v2.02
I've just installed the updated version of this aircraft to P3Dv5 for which it is supposed now to be compatible. When I load it into the sim it loads OK and runs for about 10 seconds then the whole aircraft and flight deck goes black as does a lot of the outside scenery :dunno: I've tried ...
