Now that I finally have a PC that will run it, I have FSX. Do I fly it? Not a whole heck of a lot! In FS9, my new rig runs a MelJet 777 at KLAX, in spot view, looking past the jet at the main terminal, with AI at max at about 30 FPS. Easier planes at less detailed airports run at better than 60 FPS....

Sounds interesting. I fobbed up the plan in both FSNav and default GPS formats, along with a text file. Anyone that wants it can get if from my little corner of the web as OPRN-OPSD.zip.

I guess that we on the left side of the planet can be grateful for tabloids and their hordes of paparazzi shutterbugs! It's because of them that we have a law that says if you're outside in public, then anyone can publish photos taken of you. Celebrities hate this, but it means that criminals can't ...

Holy crap! I go away for a while and all "heck" breaks loose! To put it simply, if you plane has propeller blades, then you need to add the line to see the contrails - it doesn't matter what powerplant's driving it. I haven't seen it on the flap corners, but I had the FSX 747 up the ...

Just tested the default King Air with custom weather set to below the default contrail point. I had to add the contrail line to the plane to get contrails active, so that means that if it has a prop or props, you have to activate contrails manually. Only pure "jets" will have them by defau...

Piston engines need to have contrails added manually to the aircraft.cfg: In the [GeneralEngineData] section, add this line... max_contrail_temperature=-39.0 From the Container SDK: Ambient temperature, in Celsius, in which engine vapor contrails will turn on. The default value is about -39 degrees ...

Yeah Ian, now that you mention it, the postage charge would likely get him into hot water over here too. Even with packing material, nearly $7 is enough to be ruled as "for profit."

£0.99 currently converts to $1.93 US Dollars. With the shipping cost listed separately, he's actualy not breaking any US copyright laws. I don't know about your side of the pond, but here you're allowed to do this provided that you're only charging a "reasonable" amount to cover your time...

Finally got a chance to watch - one of the best I've seen in a long time, and a definite "Keeper!" About the soundtrack, interesting choice - classic American Rock & Roll, but I guess I'll let it slide as "Birtish" since it was The Who's version! On a side note, there's not t...
