Re: Britannia Paintkit?
Thanks RM! I took the RAF livery on a quick VFR hop from KGSO to KILM and she proved to be a good flier. What I'm looking to do is paint myself a simple bare livery with my usual registration and a small "Operated by Clayton Air" by one of the doors. I prefer to fly that over any real-worl...

Re: Britannia Paintkit?
That's why I posted here instead of the Outhouse - I figure Jens might be more active here. Thanks for trying though!

Britannia Paintkit?
Searching Google for the Britannia Paintkit, I found the original release thread here, which includes Jens' post about uploading the kit to The Pond. The only problem is, that site's down. Is there another way to get the paintkit?

Re: Any good Freeware 727s
The panel I always used when I was flyng Eric's bird was Ken Mitchell's version. If you search Flightsim.com for ken mitchell 727 you 'll find the original and two updates from Steve Southey.speedbird591 wrote:I seem to remember having trouble finding a decent panel.

In case you didn't know...
My friend Mike Stone is no longer retired! His last few releases have been fictional concepts, but just released today is an all-new B-25 Mitchell. It includes one paint by Mike along with his base textures, plus three more high-detail paints and detailed base files by Garry J Smith! http://www.pmst...

Re: Goodbye old fashioned fixed wing aircraft!
FS doesn't have the provision to anchor an aircraft by the nose, so the designer just put an invisible "roof" out from the tower. The zep is sitting on that surface, so FS thinks there should be a shadow. If you really want to play with somebody's brain, do a few touch and go's with a Pipe...

Re: Arctic Autopilot Question
Yep! I find that the default Cessna's [Autopilot] section works well in the Ford. With that and my other mods described above, you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery for a while.

Re: Arctic Autopilot Question
Adding autopilot to the Ford Trimotor doesn't work because some of the needed avionics functions are missing. Here's how I got it working in mine... The three gyro sections need to be modified first: [direction_indicators] //1 Type: 0=None, 1=Vacuum Gyro, 2=Electric Gyro, 3=Electro-Mag Slaved Compas...

Re: Eclipse?
The only event I can think of that could come close to explaining that would be an above-ground nuclear test. But I thought those were banned before the time period you're talking about. Did the UK ever do anything like that to begin with?
