Re: HU DC6 and C74
I see that over at Calclassic Jens has been asked the Constitution question, too. His answer was a resounding "Nope", but designers occasionally do change their minds, let's hope he will. I believe he has been persuaded to do another 4360 workhorse, the C-124, aka Globemaster II, aka "...

Re: HU DC6 and C74
I have asked Jens if he would consider the Lokheed CONSTITUTIOON. A double deck desgin developed for the USN and PAN AM, it sufferered form underpowered engines, two were built, both flew succefully, but the big radial used on the Strotcruiser were not available for this plane, with them she'd have...

Re: Model recognition contest
Further on the lights topic, my attention has been drawn to the fact that the promised alternative light settings for the no wing-tip tanks model are absent from the aircraft.cfg. Sorry about this, here they are. Simply replace the current [lights] section by the following: [lights] //Types: 1=beaco...

Re: Model recognition contest
Could you post that picture, DispatchDragon? All pics I have here show them without beacons, and 38158 on John's picture on p. 4 of this thread doesn't seem to have one either. Of course, they might have fitted them at one point? At any rate, if you're absolutely keen on having them you could mark t...

Re: Model recognition contest
Hello, I am afraid we're running a little behind schedule, but the Navy texture has been completed (see pic), flight calibration is under way and some mods have yet to be made to the panel.

Re: Model recognition contest
Re Jens's Brab -- sorry, don't know how the "six" slipped in, I clean overlooked that thread. Many thanks, and hopefully we can have some more of the postwar heavies.

Re: Model recognition contest
Hello again all, I felt the noose tightening around my neck when Chris dropped the name "Constellation" in an early reply. Other respondents sensed that a turboprop variant might be involved. The second clue clearly wasn't easily recognizable as a wing tip, but it did show part of the lett...

Re: Model recognition contest
Is that the Turbo-Prop Super Constellation? Garry I'll accept that as CORRECT. The monickers R7V-2, YC-121F, or indeed Queen of the Skies With Knobs On I would have accepted as well. (I'll do both the Navy and the USAF version, with and without tip tanks.) I'll address some of the questions raised ...
