You are more than welcome to use the Falklands GR3 repaint (amongst others) I did for UKMIL as a basis for your AI. In fact I think UKMIL would be happy to assist in other ways I'm sure.

I remember a flight from Akrotiri in, I'm sure, a Bristol Britannia. It was just by chance as we were evacuated back to Blighty (16 MU) during the Turkish Invasion of '74.

You get used to it! As anyone on the patch might attest....

OK folks. I've had a wee play with the colours based on the photos you very kindly dug out. Grateful for you opinions. the revised scheme is 'colourful' to say the least. The enclosed are first draft ie not finished or polished....

Many thanks for making such an effort. I'm sure about the blue, though. I'll repaint a further example and see how it comes out. I suspect my camo colours need toning down too.

In that case I'll remove the '293' and add the G-VTOL to the underside of the wings (Just noticed that in your pictures...) Can I assume that the font is the same way up on both wings , or would one side be reversed?

I'll also consider putting the *spits* NAVY logo on the tail as well!

I thought the blue undersides of G-VTOL in the first pics should be a bit brighter. But maybe my memory has faded.

I'll try to find my photos from the 1970s when it displayed at Woodford.
