Re: Red Arrows Pilot injured at Scampton

As I work for Martin Baker, as of yet we haven't been informed of any information regarding this accident, and we are going to be the first to hear anything. Everything else you hear at the moment is just pure speculation and rumours.

Re: Ejector seat £50 so far on e-bay! And vampire bits!

flipping heck, I could make a small fortune from selling off old seats. Just a stroll through the warehouse I see plenty just lying around or just sitting in boxes. Might see if I can find one that matched that mk2 clone type seat!

Re: Ejector seat £50 so far on e-bay! And vampire bits!

Looked through my manual at work and that doesn't look like a MK2, there doesn't appear to be any legs attached to the bottom of the seat like a MK2 should have. Without better photo's it's hard to determine what type it is.

Re: Red Arrows

yep Dave I'm at Chalgrove, perk of the job is being able to see the old Meteor giving us our own air display just after they've done a seat test. Rumour has it the previous pilot used to be able to fly low level between the two hangers ;)

Re: Lightning crash

Well, like I said, I work there and at the moment can't comment on who does the servicing. I'm sure in the new year I might try and find out though.

Re: Lightning crash

I work for Martin Baker, and with regards the servicing of the seat I can't shed any light on whether this is done by ourselves.

Re: Well Done Jensen!!

My son races Karts and whenever there's an incident between two drivers their called straight to the clerk of the course who depending on which circuit we're at, can view the incident on cctv, he then listens to both drivers version of events and then makes his decision based on the evidence he's go...
