Re: External Harddrives

I wonder if anyone has had experience of this.

I have installed Windows 7 and have 3 x 1TB internal HDDs installed with no room for any more. Number one is for the OS, two is exclusively for FSX, and three is for all the other fsims, e.g.: FS9, Xplane, etc.

I needed a backup disk and for that I ...

Re: Instructor Giving Pupil Hard Time.

I think that the instructor was a bit out of his depth and allowed himself to get worked up. I seem to remember that when he sent the student off on his first solo, he was in the control tower displaying real agitation.

I am a bit hazy about this series but does anyone else remember that of all the ...

Nigelb,

Have you missed out on the greatest money-spinner of all? The so called Cold War?

The US KNEW from intelligence sources and aerial reconnaissance that the Soviet Union was in no position to wage an all out war against the West but the US armaments industry created this fear of Soviet ...

Re: Outbreak of WWII

Interesting to see all these views.

Regarding Pearl Harbour, the Japanese diplomatic code 'Purple' had been broken in September 1940 by an American team lead by William F. Friedman and in the period immediately prior to 7th December 1941, the US intelligence sevices were reading the messages to the ...

Re: New Lancaster due next month....

I have been waiting for the A2A Lancaster and did not know about this one. That is one very, very peculiar looking 'Lancaster'. Looks as though they might have used the original 'Aircraft of the Fighting Powers' plans.

I cannot wait for a good one fror FSX - Scampton - North Sea - Lubeck - Wallop ...

Discovery Turbo

Flicking through the cable channnels whilst eating my evening meal tonight, I chanced upon the above. There were two programs back-to-back 'Classic British Aircraft', starting at 8pm and I spent the next 45 enjoyable minutes (missed the first 15) looking at the Beverley, Dragon Rapide and Anson ...

Re: Rumour - Gamasutra - Report: Microsoft Makes Big Cuts At

Hello Chris,

I think you may have misunderstood me a bit. Clearly, there is a vast difference between flight sims and combat sims. I have 2 combat sims and I don’t like either of them. Not my kind of flying.

What I was suggesting was that in the absence of MSFS, Oleg Maddox could decide to step ...
