Thanks for the birthday wishes. On holiday at the moment at Heythrop Park. Just popped in to catch up while having a break from the festivities!
Back to the real world on Friday.
Will have an extra dram tonight

Re: 3D printing progress
Looking good Mike
I’ve often wondered wether the detail can be produced fine enough to create aircraft model profiles. So producing 3D pictures that can be framed and hung.
I suppose cost would be quite prohibited.

Re: East African Airways video
Thanks for that Paul.
Great find.
During 1962/63 I saw the Comets transit in Aden, plus two of their Argonauts leased to Aden Airways and a DC-3 also operating for Aden Airways for a few weeks in EAA colour’s.

Re: Happy Birthday JohnD (74)
Thanks for your good wishes.
Just got back from a holiday by Windermere in the Lake District.
Two days in a row we were given an impromptu air display by some F35s doing fast low runs over the lakes.
Didn’t realise they new it was my birthday week.

Re: Bush flying in Papa New Guinee
Yes very professional and I do like his mechanical visual checklist that he made himself.
He is manufacturing them for sale to the real world.
They allow an instant indication of where you are on the list without having to look away to find where you are up to.
