Re: Missing (hidden?) Fuselage texture for the Comet 1

Hmmmm....odd! :o In FSX I show 26 files in the 'texture' folder and 25 files in all the 'texture.XXX' folders. The additional file in the 'texture' folder is 'lwing_btm_tga.bmp' but like you I see no 'fuse_fwd' anywhere although it would appear that the forward fuselage is in fact included in the 'r...

Re: Comet 1 (and 2) for FS2004 and FSX available now

When they made FSX they switched a couple of the axes around so anything that is axis dependant gets screwed up if you are not careful and I had forgotten all about it. Unfortunately I can't remember off the top of my head if it was the left/right that switched with the up/down or if it was some oth...

DOH! :brick:

You are 100% correct Garry, I forgot all about that! :$

Now, was it the X/Y that switched or the Y/Z...or was it X/Z? :@ :dunno:

Re: Comet 1 (and 2) for FS2004 and FSX available now

Just had a fly in this and it is a cracker, Larry the lights work a treat in FS9 Thanks for that confirmation Tony. CHEERS but the smoke does not justa big trail from the tail Hmmm...I wonder if that's just the effect you used or if it's a FS9 thing. :dunno: I must admit I switched from the Sea Vix...

Re: Comet 1 (and 2) for FS2004 and FSX available now

Just got this and spent the afternoon playing, great job as usual Jens! :dancer: However, I did feel it was lacking in a couple of areas so I started 'tweaking' the config files, I hope you don't mind. :worried: To start off with I felt that those old jet engines should be belching some smoke so I a...

Re: Declaring Emergency! Saitek Yoke

Have you tried unplugging the yoke and plugging it back in again? I have had problems with my X52 HOTAS in the past where it lost calibration and unplugging/re-plugging cured it every time.

Re: Hello Sailors!!!!!!

I know I have heard several tracks which contain real morse c...

Re: Flying Models 1930-1960

I can still smell the fuel and dope......that's when dope meant a chemical applied to canvass or tissue.   LOL....but you could still get 'high' if you applied the dope in an enclosed space! I remember applying dope to one model in the lean-to extension to the house with all the doo...
