Seems to be partly made up of a fuselage of a Be2 with a Gas bag above. Wonder how it handled *-) https:/...

Re: FSAddon Avro Anson

I reinstalled FTX Scotland today ( along with England and Wales ) and decided to see how well they had represented St Kilda. The answer is...not too bad, though I think Mike Dalgleish's model is more detailed. I really must visit this place in real life one day. :) http://i.imgur.com/Bku7v3l.jpg I'...

Re: RAF Air Defence Radar Museum

  Oh dear Dave, wasn't my intention  I'm also wondering if this and the Langhan Dome threads should have been in Escorts and Stewards instead... I did actually mean to put the Langham Dome thread there, but accidentally posted it in CBFS Forum section. The other place we visited was t...

RAF Air Defence Radar Museum

Hello, me again. :hide: Another place we went to when on holiday in Norfolk last month was the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum in RAF Neatished, near Horning. A very interesting and professional museum showing everything there is about Radar through the years. Not wanting to bore you all with pointless...

Re: The Langham Dome

A couple of you said you'd never heard of it before, well I was the same. Much of that reason was their existence was kept top secret till after the war in case the Germans decided to hunt them out and specifically target the trainer buildings. Most pupils probably didn't spend that much time in the...

Re: The Langham Dome

Were there similar domes used for RAFRgt Rapier training? From what I could see in the displays they have, yes I think so, the technique was developed after the war in various diverse branches. They use an up to date modern variation of the system today, using an advanced digital projection technol...

Re: The Langham Dome

Thanks folks. To be honest I didn't know these things existed either. We came accross it two years ago while down on a previous holiday. It was in a delapidated state then, though there was a sign outside it explaining what it was an some info on the airfield too, which also has an interesting histo...
