Re: Short Empire - new version 3 for FS9 and (native) FSX
Thanks Jens for the Viscount and the updated Empire. I already installed them and took both of them out for a flight, and they flew great. I have almost all of your aircraft and have enjoyed all of them. You have filled a lot of gaps in the propliner history that no one else seems inclined to fill. ...

Re: Douglas DC-4 (Freeware)
Jens mentioned a couple of months or so ago, that he was coming out with an update to the DC-4 over at CalClassics. If it was an update, I'd expect it to be v2.2 or 3.0 or something to that effect.

Re: Bring back the memories!!
I'm turning 50 in less than 2 weeks and I got an 11, but I live in Montana and that was nearly a third world country back in the early 60's. We had to get all of our water out of the creek in front of the house and warm it up on the stove for everything, had to chop a hole through the ice in winter,...

A very fine ship that. Though she was 15 to 20 years older than her contemporaries, she was in better shape than they were, and her crew were one of the best in the navy since they were essentially on permanent deployment, being home ported in Japan. I'm glad that they saved her, she's earned it.

Re: Flying Boat routes
The thing that has been frustratingly elusive for me is the exact landing locations of the flying boats. I spent 2-3 hours on Google trying to find something that showed the landing sites. The Sea of Galilee for instance, that's a big piece of real estate, but I couldn't find anything that made even...

That aircraft sim is almost 4 years old, but if I downloaded it today, I'd still say it was top-notch. Milton, Scott and Urs, you're some of the best out there, thank-you.

Re: Instructor Giving Pupil Hard Time.
I remember when I was taking the flight test for my private pilot's license. I had the most amazing check pilot. I believe he was a helicopter flight instructor for the army, and did civilian flight instruction in his spare time. He had a wonderful way of encouraging you to do the right thing at the...

Re: What's Opera Doc?
Thanks Leif and John. I was wondering if it was some sort of maintenance facility for aircraft, but that didn't make a lot of sense to me.

What's Opera Doc?
On some of the French timetables, like TAI, there is something at Paris called Opera, before Orly or Le Bourget. Air France has something else and so does UAT, something about Invalides. Does anyone know what or where these are? Thanks for any help.
