Re: NewFlightDeck...

Re: Observer's badge, anyone?

Yep, a bespoke designed engine from Rolls specifically for the aircraft. It wasn’t a Fokker design, and certainly the view was that Fokker did their best to kill it.

Re: New Microsoft Edge.

It’s the same as Chrome, only without all your information being sent to google, it goes to Microsoft instead, but in terms of performance, Chrome and new edge are almost identical.

Firefox is a better alternative if you don’t like the new edge imho, but it’s personal preference.

Re: Just Flight VFR NexGen 3D

Ah I see now. I’m not a massive fan of the non photo orbx stuff. I made my own photo tiles for Northern Ireland with help from George years ago, but I’ve subsequently lost them. I’m going to wait and see what FS2020 turns out like before investing in anything significant now.

Re: New Microsoft Edge.

The new edge is actually a skinned version of Chromium. I think its a step backwards as some of the biggest security vulnerabilities are Chrome plugins. These will work on the new Edge (as well as Chrome / Chromium), but are also a security nightmare to manage in a business. I've been using it for a...

Re: Exciting Charter Trip Offered By Teal Airline

Lovely shots again Aharon. I know some people prefer the look of the 707 to the DC8 and Convair 990, but I have a soft spot for the latter two.

Many thanks,

Ben

Re: Just Flight VFR NexGen 3D

Welcome aboard Pete. I haven't used the Just Flight product, as the original version of it wasn't considered as good as the Horizon Simulations product at that time. I like the Horizon product, but bare in mind, the imagery is now quite old, so if your primary concern is something that's reasonably ...

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO VC-10 AIRCRAFT!!

I have both of these...

Silent, Swift, Superb: The Story of the Vickers VC10 and

Vickers VC10: AEW, Pofflers and Other Unbuilt Variants: Project Tech Profile

Both are excellent IMHO, the second is quite thin, but lots of really interesting stuff about development and proposals that didn’t make it.
