Re: MSFS VR

Not thought about VR until I read this thread.
Had a look on Amazon but I don't know enough about them to make a choice.
What do I need for MS 2020?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: MSFS SDK

Have you made any headway with $pan type gauges Dave?

Textures are just the basic albedo (diffuse) map, no bump or metallic maps yet.
What MSFS material mode are you using for the prop discs Dave?

DaveG wrote: 29 Aug 2020, 16:20 Yes, I copied all my Rapides modeldef entries into it's own xml file. The anims seem fine, it's the vis code i can't get working at the moment. :dunno:
Does that include the prop vis?

Re: MSFS SDK

Have you tried adding your own custom animation entries?
Looks like the anims are mostly FSX.
I like the fact that each model carries its own modeldef files .

Re: MSFS SDK

Nice job Ben. I haven't looked into scenery placement yet as I've been too busy banging my head against a wall trying to get my animations to work. :wall: Apart from the initial problems, is it fairly easy to place objects? There's a few areas i want to enhance at some point. Have you managed a tra...

Re: MSFS SDK

Looking through the info on FSDeveloper I think the animations are supposed to be working, but it's a bit vague. I'll have to experiment a bit more tomorrow. Will you be converting any of your models over Rob? I have the Barracuda and the Sport Cruiser working Dave, but not perfectly. Just P3D port...

Re: MSFS SDK

Thanks Skippy. My version of Max is too old for plugin unfortunately, so I'm having to go the Blender route. I've got the Blender plugin but it's still a work in progress. I didn't see any way to tag animations but I may have missed it. I think the animations are still on the to-do list as far as I...
