Re: FSX Native SeaKing...

Jim, The US models are specific to each type, slight differences in fuselage, sensors and FOD covers etc, the 3H having enlarged sponsons for the MAD gear etc. 66 was in the original package at my insistence (and being as I made the models and painted them there wasn't much anyone could do about it ...

Re: BN. Islander for FS.X

I believe Virtuavia is Dans new fledgling company, being as Dan built the Islander he owns most of the rights, so on the face of it, it looks like Dan is shipping his Islander through Alphasim to Flight 1, or going direct to Flight 1 with a link back to Alphasim, or what ever, who cares LOL. Best Mi...

Re: Upcoming Quality Wings 757...

Tony, thats a shame about it being a port over, makes it a 80% purchase chance as opposed to 100%, though many ports I have are ok and some !, are worse than the Capt Sim 757 LOL. Could you bend their arms a little harder to get a native FSx model in :). Either way I'll probably get it and if the FP...

Re: Upcoming Quality Wings 757...

Chris, that could be read either way, many of Alphasims aircraft are 'designed' for FS9 but are also native for FSx, they have separate VCs models, DDS textures, bump mapping etc etc and are compiled as true FSx models, what you don't get is the fidelity that FSx offers with its almost limitless pol...

Hope the FPs is as good as promised, if so I'll have that in a trice, looking very slick indeed.

Best

Re: Yak-52 froma Alphasim! Coming soon.

A super piece of assesment, concise and carefully put across, especially where the author has taken the time to explain why the model might not be the same as real life and why. I wish we had more unbiased concise reviews like this, especially in the past, then we may not have lost some of the talle...

Re: AlphaSim FSX Victor now available!

Sorry to dissapoint, no chance on the Seaking, the're my source files and thats the way its going to stay in the current climate, a new Seaking model from the ground up is a more attractive proposition for me to be honest (the HH-3E is partially done externally), so safe to say Alphasim will not be ...

Re: AlphaSim FSX Canberra now available!

Ohh dear, promo shots never were an AS strong point, you'd think for one or two screenies you'd ramp up the AA and Autogen, might fly like treacle but it'd look a whole lot better. Only Canberra that interested me (FS model wise) was the PR9, kinda liked the offset tub idea, ala Sea Vixen. HenryW's ...

Wow, that looks messy, not a pleasant sight, bet some ones "" nipped up there !. That attitude'd be ok if you were commited to take off, if not you'd probably be wishing you were and not rushing towards the end of the runway. Looks like a boot full of rudder as well, was it a cross wind by...

Re: Model train dilemma

Just getting back into model trains after ten years, I did MSTS modeling for about four years under the demised Blue Arrow banner ( Severn Valley railway fame ) but like Mark, used and played very little these days, especially when compared with something like FSx for model making, no poly count and...
