Re: FS2020 Mach Loop

You're right about the auto generated buildings. Where there is 3d data (as in some US cities and for some peculiar reason Portsmouth and Southampton in the UK) the sim generates using that. Elsewhere it just does the best it can. Sometimes the buildings can be a bit odd if you know the area! For ex...

Re: OrbX London for MS2020

One thing that Orbx hope to be able to remedy in future is the slightly annoying problem that vehicles crossing the river use the flat default bridges, not the 3d bridges that Orbx provide so they look as if they are running underneath. Apparently they can't fix this with the current SDK bit it is a...

Re: OrbX London for MS2020

I think they have done a decent job with a fix release. They have allowed the higher resolution Asobo objects (such as Tower Bridge and the Shard) to remain visible and they have fixed HMS Belfast to point the right way! To me it's a big improvement on the out-of-box version of London and, for the m...

I looked at the documentation for OpenTrack and it lists these as accepted inputs... - PointTracker by Patrick Ruoff, freetrack-like light sources - Oculus Rift DK1, DK2, CV, and legacy/knockoff versions (Windows only) - Paper [marker support](https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/wiki/Aruco-tracke...

Re: Head Tracker for your smart phone...

Well, I decided to risk a tenner and managed to get it working OK (with an inevitable fair bit of fiddling with the OC firewall and router settings to let the phone and PC talk to each other). Balanced my phone under my monitor and it certainly picks up head movements well and translates them into t...

Re: Wny No DVD For MS2020?

Here's a helpful quote from Mathijs kok at Aerosoft (from this thread: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/154700-aerosoft-official-retail-partner-for-microsoft-flight-simulator/ )... Not sure I would want the faff of 10 (!) DVD's - I had ensoiugh trouble with FSX's 3! "...let me explain wha...

Head Tracker for your smart phone...

Has anyone given this a go?

I'm tempted but I'd like to hear a real user's experience first... :dunno:
