Re: Fokker F27

Thank You Fraser! - V6 is the best F-27 (and F.27) ever for FS9. The very few faults I "thought" I had found were resolved by re-reading the excellent manual. There's little left to do except improving Mike's model, and I doubt that that will happen anytime soon. I'm a flyer anyway so I'm ...

Re: FS2004 L-188 Electra

Superb panel Frazier! Until now the most accurate Allison model was the CV-580 from Cal Classic. Your Electra flies well and functions correctly. While I never flew the Electra except as a pax and some jumpseat rides in a Navy P-3, I spent a lot of time in Hercs with the same engine (only mounted co...

Re: T-38 Talon

Calypso - When I went through (Viet Nam era), everyone flew the same year long program - T-41 (C-172), T-37 and T-38. Then on to more specialized training. Now there are separate paths to preserve the airframe life as the Talons are getting a little long in the tooth. After 20 plus years around the ...

Re: T-38 Talon

I have many fond (and a few frightening) memories of my 100 or so hours flying the T-38. After the Cessna T-37 it was like moving into Formula 1 from a small under powered truck. The Talon was built solely for speed and handling. The USAF felt if you could fly it you could be trained to fly anything...

RR Tyne mk22 info

The Aircraft Engine Historical Society has recently posted several large pdf files from the Transall C160 flight manual that detail the workings and operation of the Tyne as installed in that aircraft. I assume that much of it would be applicable to other installations. http://www.enginehistory.org/...

Re: f27: Changing Fokker to Fairchild

Thanks Fraser, I had muddled through the files and that was pretty much the answer I came up with as well . I was thinking there must be something I missed. West Coast Airlines flew the F-27(MK 100) mainly but my fleet list shows two F-27As (MK 200, Fairchild hull #28 and #32) so I guess my crew and...

f27: Changing Fokker to Fairchild

Hello All, I've just installed the VA F27 package and it is great. I've been flying Frasier's panel (v4) with the Mike Stone F27-200 for some time and this newest one is a marked improvement. I am, however, on the "colonial" side of the pond and thus flying the Fairchild versions to keep t...
