Re: TAYLORCRAFT MODEL PLUS C AUSTER

The instructions for handling the 'glass' files are given with the aircraft in 'Auster Installation and notes.txt - here they are - 'A better FSX glass texture is included to replace the FS9 versions. To use, you will need to make two copies of FSXglass, renaming one GLASS.bmp and the other GLASS_V...

Re: TAYLORCRAFT MODEL PLUS C AUSTER

The Sim I am using is FSX.
In the files I have FSX glass.bnp GLASS.bnp and GLASS-VC.bnp

Should I delete one or two of these or move them?

I thought the Auster J1 I have was modelled by Dave G. Is your J1 model different?

Best Wishes, Bob.

Re: TAYLORCRAFT MODEL PLUS C AUSTER

Thank you Dave, your Taylorcraft ‘C’ installed and flying nicely, very similar to the AOP 4, a nice model. My only concern is the rather opaque windscreen as I tend to fly as per CATO as I was taught all those years ago and when low flying especially in inclement weather any restriction of forward v...

Re: TAYLORCRAFT MODEL PLUS C AUSTER

This is my kind of aeroplane and your model looks very good. Having started flying Austers in the Army and later flying an L-4 for some twenty five years, now too old to fly I enjoy a sim hanger of Auster Piper types and would like to include yours. Included in my collection is Dave's J1 and BjornBu...

Re: Auster AOP.9 V2

Found it Dave and thank you. Recognised it right away as I have had your AOP 11 for some time. Both delightful models each with its own characteristics, I don't know which I prefer except the AOP 11 has a little more speed for cruising but it does need full boost at 2200 RPM (assumed correct as with...

Re: The last of the line......the Auster AOP.11

In my Army days I flew AOP 4/5/6, after that I flew an L-4 for over twenty years. Now very old and into FS I enjoy recreating some of my former flying days so I thank those who have created the few Austers available, plus the creaters of the L-4, L-18/21 and L-19. The best flying is below the tree t...

Re: Auster AOP.9 V2

In myArmy days I flew AOP 4/5/6. This model looks first class as is DGs J1 which fortunately is available for FSX. Is there any chance of your AOP9 becoming available for FSX?

Re: Auster FSX Shot

Rather than watch this go around and around on yet ANOTHER Forum Bob if you pop over to http://www.classicbritishfiles.com and give us your wish list...I will personally get the files you request to you and I can promise they will NOT be corrupted.
