Re: Earth Simulations Isle of Man Scenery
Hi Nick, Out of respect for Ben's hosting, I used images between 250 Kb and 500 Kb. In their original multi Mb, they look even better, mate! I should also report that I applied some of the tips in the manual, :rtfm: which upped the performance to 18 fps (near EGNS) to 48 fps (in the countryside). It...

Hi Eddie
Didn't know you were training.
All that study is something that a lot of folks don't think about enough.
Good to hear that your efforts are paying off. Hope the next stage goes well.

Re: Feeding The Family
A nice twist on that Polo joke, Eric.
No wonder the girl was confused, she was thinking of the old story of the grocer who sat on the bacon slicer and got a little behind in his work.

Re: Earth Simulations Isle of Man Scenery
Failed to mention last night: in some building-rich places, down to 6 fps, but around the Northern area 20 fps. Mine is locked at 20 currently, but I've forgotten why I did that.
EDIT: SEE POST 13/09/2013. Now much higher.

Colin
Many thanks, d/l and unzipped. Will fly it in its new paint today.
I'll also have to get some of the G regs that our mate Dave pointed out, so I don't get shot down over the Isle of Man!

Re: Earth Simulations Isle of Man Scenery
Er-hum! 'Scuse me chaps, but I have just taken a trip 1/3 around my spanking new ES IoM. The download took about 24 hours, not counting the 20 plus hours wasted on two failed downloads, one being another system freeze, the second my mistake trying to restart after it stalled. Instead of right click,...

He did,
I think that they both buy the same joke toilet paper Harry!
Don't stop him, though - it's always fun to read of tearing peoples' clothes off.

Re: Latest Accu-Sim C172...
Hi Peter, I have taken the Cessna up for one circuit around the Isle of Man. (The default scenery, as I'm trying for the third time to download Earth Sim IoM 11.4gb! It fell over at 1.5gb then 20 hours later, at 8.4gb. I'm typing this on Mrs Airspeed's PC.) Early impressions: They were right about t...

A jolly tune to cheer you up
To the tune of Jarabe Tapatío, (the Mexican hat dance) If you can't remember it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-Rqdgna3Yw I'm really a terrible suitor, I can only meet girls on computer, I take them for rides on my scooter, And I laugh and keep beeping the hooter. Ayayayayeee! Aaaaaay, And what d...
