Re: VICKERS VARSITY

Thanks Fellas, well I certainly got a debate going! Sounds like the problem is situated around me using FSX keystrokes. I'll work through the suggestions and see what works although I'm out tonight so might not be able to 'strap in' until Friday.

Re: VICKERS VARSITY

Ok got all the thumbnails in place the other day (eg the individual aircraft folders). I can now select Vickers in the aircraft selection and the thumbnail appears eg for the Brooklands version. I can select this but what always turns up on the runway is 369. This aircraft also appears if I make no ...

Re: VICKERS VARSITY

Excellent help from all.

WF372 was tail letter A when I flew in it at Stradishall. They stuck two of us in the bomb aimers pit for the 6+ hours it took to get up to the north of Scotland and back in a loop round the North Sea on a Nav exercise. Kept us out of the way I guess but at 15 it was like ...

Re: VICKERS VARSITY

The 'Vickers' fix worked thanks. Minus 2D cockpit and so far I have been unable to select versions but very pleased. Just had a quick flight from Waddington and back again. :welldone:

Re: VICKERS VARSITY

Yep. Still leaking and defying all attempts to trace the source especially in the bombaimers pod. I shall be baling out down there in the morning! Still, when the fabled 'Wing' is in place that should ease the problem... if the plane lasts that long!

Returning to the orig subject, I have put the ...

Re: VICKERS VARSITY

Yes know the 'Merchant' well as it stands close to the Varsity at Brooklands. I was there the other day when the spare cockpit section was moved beside it. I did speak to Dave a few months back. The Varsity team usually come in on Tuesdays, I'll be there tomorrow, but I also steward on board at ...

VICKERS VARSITY

Any chance that there is a version of the Varsity available for FSX or a way of porting it over? I regularly volunteer and work on the Brooklands Varsity on which the sim detail is based...even down to the photogrpahs on the panels replacing instruments we had not yet acquired! (But now have) I also ...

Re: Chipmunk install

Many thanks Dave, keen to recreate a couple of aerobatic flights I had in the 60s in the ATC! I also Steward at Brooklands and frequently use the Chippy cockpit there during education tours- the same cockpit that the sim is based on I believe.

Chipmunk install

Need a bit of help installing the Chipmunk in FSX. Instructions say post contents of zip into aircraft folder. I have several folder from Alpha Sim etc. OK but does that mean all of it or less the effects it suggests should be posted in effects folder? Do I just chuck the contents of effects into ...
