I used to work down there. Seen some VERY low Hercs about, close to the M50. Certainly brightens up the day when you see the RAF at work! With the recent cutbacks, maybe they should fly at the weekends and have the weekdays off. I'd have a chance to see more of them then!

Re: Aerosoft is working at a new flight sim
:o :o :o I think I understood some of that Paul.. maybe not  It was poetry at CBFS! The task of producing a new flight sim is obviously enormous. If M$ struggled to make a good job of it last time around, I doubt any new developer will fare any better. I STILL struggle with the idea that ACE...

Re: Best Victor set? And quotes from the pilot
I've talked about this with the Vanguard crew and although none of us know for sure, there may be an 'out of config' alarm similar to the Trident, One-Eleven e t c. Therefore, it might be as easy to get the aircraft 'in config'.. though an easier solution may be to disconnect the alarm! ;-) From wh...

Re: American Airlines "new" 737-800 cockpit
AA's installation is different from other aircraft. The horn is present on all aircraft, but normally both the cabin alt and config warnings are only displayed on the EICAS screen. Both Takeoff Config and Cabin Altitude warning horns have been required for years in the US. Aren't the config and cab...

Re: Vulcan to Display at Waddo.
Would be great if 558 makes Waddington again. But what I'm REALLY wishing for is a repeat of last season's Spitfire/Typhoon display. It was truly wonderful - brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. And I'm not normally that taken with the BBMF stuff.

Re: LHR Microwave Landing System
My airband book from 20-odd years ago describes MLS as the next big thing! I thought it was being abandoned, in favour (as CT said) of GPS based systems.
