Classic British Flight Sim

I have come across this problem intermitently on FSX, FS9 and IL2. Particularly with single seaters, but not on anything with a flight deck thus far.

I use Track IR and when looking straight ahead or through gunsights I might have complete silence, particularly with jet aircraft, but turn my head ...

But these aeroplanes are not very safe. They were built for war after all.
