FSX successfully installed and the Avro Lancaster, DH Mosquito, Douglas DC3 and the Supermarine Spitfire added.

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Good morning.

Re first advice. One entry for FSX (and FS9) found and deleted in 'C'/Users/Default/AppData/Local/Virtual Store/Program Files (x86)/MS Games.

Yes, I do have internet access.

I hope to start installing procedures later today.

Once again, I would like to thank you, Ben and the other ...

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Thanks TRS2,

Am in process of uninstalling FSX but it seems to be taking an extraordinary long time and time is forcing me to close down shortly for today.

I appreciate your continued interest and will go on line tomorrow to advise you of the current situation.

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Hullo TSR2,

Not overly concerned about the Spitfire (no personal involvement there), besides I have only recently downloaded that, so I can presumable find it again and reinstall it.

My ...

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Hullo TSR2,

Thank you for interest.

The DC3 was freeware designed for use in FSX

I would like to think that I am computer literate but not qualified shall we say.
When things do not work out as expected, my limited abilities make it difficult for me to work why.
In addition, I am not familiar ...

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Thank you for your replies.

I am using MS FSX GOLD Edition including FSX De Luxe and Acceleration Expansion Pack.

Version 10.0.61637.0.

Having installed a SSD in the belief that it was superior to a standard hard disk, especially for flight similation, I do have a spare hard disk installed.

I ...

Re: de Havilland Mosquito

Thank you for your continued interest. Regret problem still not resolved.

I moved the Lancaster out of my 'C' drive and 'deleted' the entry. restarted FSX but problem remained.

I noted that in 'Select Aircraft' a shadow aircraft picture was displayed under a question mark; above text for both the ...

Further to the above:-

The Lancaster does not appear to have a Thumbnail (ex FS9), but the DC3, Spitfire,Shacks and Mosquito do show Thumbnails.
