Re: Thanks ACG- at the....and in the morning...
Hello Peter, Yes, for images hosted on Dropbox, you need to change the "www" bit of the link to "dl" (that's DL, not D1) in order for them to show up in the [Img] tags. Therefore your link should look like this: [img]https://dl.dropbox.com/s/s5z9ugco5wl56fh/Brilliant%20Marham.jpg...

Re: Add-Onaholism: am I drying out ?
On the same topic, you'd be surprised how often you see American N-registrations down at Duxford. Yes, there's no shortage of N-reg GA aircraft operating in the UK as this list shows. Apparently it's something do with being able to use the FAA Instrument Rating. More info here in the unlikely event...

Have a look at the links in my post above. The video linked in the original post was an 'unofficial' copy of the same thing.

Re: New Flight Stick
What I'd like to know is: why in Sam Hill did the designer put the throttles smack dab in the middle and forward of the stick, so ones hand has to bend around to operate them? If it's anything like the Thrustmaster T.16000M which I bought recently, I suspect it's because the thing's designed to be ...

Re: Taranto 75
Thanks for the link. :) I'd hoped it was a preview for a proper documentary on the Swordfish, but apparently not. :| Anyway, I'll slip in a literary recommendation here if I may gents. I suspect many of you will be familiar with this one, but if not War in a Stringbag by the late Charles Lamb (DSO D...

Re: This is Different
There's a 'making of' video for anyone interested. Staged? Well, of course. However, "carefully choreographed" is how they prefer to describe it. The 'official' link to the original video has nearly 10 million views already.

Re: Just Flight A2A 25% Sale
That's a great choice Chris. The Comanche and Cherokee have (I think) the most atmospheric cockpits and the most 'character' with an interesting S-TEC System 30 autopilot which is very rare in FSX. The Comanche also offers excellent performance without being too much of a handful in the circuit (pro...

Re: Just Flight A2A 25% Sale
My problem is the limited time I have in front of the computer to do that and enjoy the flying; invariably it's a case of switch on, climb in and off we go. Chris - I can quite understand that! Though I don't mean to contradict Mike's comment above, I don't think lack of time is any obstacle to rea...

Re: Just Flight A2A 25% Sale
For those with Accusim products, for people with little time are they worth giving a go or will I just end up with an more ground time than air time? Chris - they absolutely are worth giving a go! :) For those who don't have a taste for the virtual maintenance hangar or performing pre-flight walk r...

Re: Garry Russell
Gents, I'm not one of 'the regulars' here with just a handful of posts. However, Garry's kind and encouraging words to me showed him for the Gent he so obviously was. I've just had a look back through some of Garry's posts, and his last remark on the forums here seems to have been: "All the bes...
