Re: BAC 1-11 underpowered/overheating?
Alright, as an update I've more-or-less fixed the issue. I went into the AIR file and changed table 540's (EGT) scalar from 1 to 0.98. This let me takeoff with 97% N1, without injection. However the airfield I took off from had an OAT of 36 degrees Celsius, so I may change it to 0.99. Atleast I don'...

Re: BAC 1-11 underpowered/overheating?
It may have been due to a hot OAT... I was taking off from a place that was ~30 degrees Celsius.

BAC 1-11 underpowered/overheating?
Hi all, with the upcoming release of FS2020, I am getting back into FSX, and as an old-bird enthusiast, I can't pass up on the DMSim 1-11. Everything is working great, however even with less powerful engines than the Srs 500, the engines actually overheat easier on the Srs 200, meaning I have to pul...

Beginner's luck...
So finally bought a BAC 1-11-200 in FSPassengersX, which was exciting after being with the HS-748 for so long. I made a repaint for my airline and bought the aircraft. I've been flying it all day, as you do, until recently when I encountered a problem; on approach the right main gear wouldn't deploy...

Re: Minimum Runway For BAC-111 Please
Oh Dave needs to fit the Tays onto his 1-11's hahaha I'd love to see how it would perform.

Re: HS-748 modding; Water methanol injection.
But on low payloads the bloody thing takes off too fast for me to think! Haha! It's like rotate, gear up, flaps up, power down straight away haha

Re: HS-748 modding; Water methanol injection.
Hmm so really on longer runways and lower weights I should just take off with less throttle e.i. Climb power?

Re: Minimum Runway For BAC-111 Please
It's Ying and yang isn't it. While a Tay engined 1-11 would have been nice, it's unlikely we'd have seen the 146 series. Hmm I'm not so sure. Both aircraft seem to have different roles; the 146 is an STOL short range aircraft, while if the 1-11's low-bypass Speys were replaced with the higher-bypas...

HS-748 modding; Water methanol injection.
Observing the HS-748 on takeoff with and without water methanol has given me the conclusion that there is no change in performance other than keeping the engines and fuel cool for longer. However upon researching I came across documents with tables for all RR Dart engines. It states for the 748-2A's...

Re: HS-748 fuel issue
I've found the issue! The updated HS.748 V6 has THREE engines, one is left, two is right and the third acts as the GPU, which is why I can't used the GPU with GSX as it thinks it's an engine. However, the HS.748 only has 2 fuel selectors; left and right, and changing these in the flight saves in doc...
