Hi Rick

Hopefully any update of the 748 engines will include 12' diameter props.

Having installed them in my own copies it appears that the taxi speed problem is primarily related to the conflict between the 10' dia props and the gear reduction ratio which is for 12' dia props.

I can now taxi the ...

The aircraft may idle at 42% max rpm which should be 0% Throttle.

It doesn't seem to matter what Throttle breakpoints you use in 1503/1504.

I use 0,15,30,45,55,70,85,100 in Rick's Viscount and HS748 aircraft.

The tricky bit is finding the appropriate CN2 values for each of the Throttle ...

According to the aircraft.cfg files for the V800 (original, update and panel aircraft mods) contact point 5 is at minus60, contact point 6 is at plus44, and the white nav light on the rear tip of the fuselage is at -49.773.

This means the aircraft is at least 104 feet long and that there is a hard ...

Viscount 800 contact point 5

If anyone is curious about the little cloud of dust which sometimes appears on the runway about 10 feet aft of the V800 tail during rotation on takeoff

It's contact point 5 striking the runway, effectively limiting the angle of rotation on takeoff.

Fortunately the impact damage threshhold for this ...

Further inspection of the 700v4 panel manual aircraft.cfg amendments section does not indicate that the torque should be increased from 6500 to 6600 and therefore I assume the 6600 in the aircraft mods.cfg file is an error same as the lights and views.

Now that I've installed the 802 and 810 panels ...

The point I was trying to make was that the model has the beacon light on top the tail, it was on top the tail in the original aircraft.cfg and the update's aircraft.cfg , but has changed to the V800 location in the Aircraft Mods.cfg supplied with the 700v4 panel.

Anyone copying the contents of the Aircraft Mods.cfg file which came with the 700v4 panel into their 700 aircraft.cfg file will have V800 light and view positions and 6600 ft-lb max torque instead of 6500.

The views is not a problem as the aircraft doesn't have a VC, but the overhead beacon will be ...

I had a look at AAM some time ago. Looked like AirEd dressed up in different clothing. As I recall both used the same or very similar .ini files.
