Re: WIP: Justflight Caravelle
I see no utterance of "Trident and " "beautiful" in the same sentence in here, so we're still on the safe side. But on the other hand, there's no mention of the Vanguard, so I'm not that sure. I'm sure I had the Caravelle way back for fs9, cannot remember who's model it was, but ...

Re: Installing and converting Rick's HS748 in FSX
CBFS_HS748_FSX.zip is newer and (theoretically) all you need. Installation is a piece of cake if you look at the folder structure.
From the file dates, I take that HS7V6_FSX.zip may be installed after CBFS_HS748_FSX. The readme included in there is crystal clear on the installation procedure.

Re: A new era
Said tool is, in fact, Radar Contact. It does some things better than default ATC (easier SID/STAR handling, getting weather at the destination, displaying arrival runway ILS information, auto-reply, flight grading), but it's cumbersome to set up on more modern Windows versions, requires a database ...

Re: A new era
man flu There used to be some free post cards available at pharmacies that had things on them like: "Women, on average, live seven years longer than men. Because they don't get the highly dangerous man flu." "As long as it's unclear why the dinosaurs died out, the man flu must not be...

Re: A new era
I'll take a closer look at X-Plane once ATC and AI are up to FSX'/P3D's standards.

Re: JustFlight 1-11 and 748
The 1-11 is on sale this weekend. Kind of ironic. Last night, I've tested another classic airliner family that was done by the same team as the 1-11, 748 and F-27 and the framerate hit was simply too high in my usual test scenario (KJFK default scenery with 250 AI aircraft). The temptation is gone. ...

Re: Training flight crash
Really? I shall retrain myself in this. Thanks Fuel in the wings increases stiffness and therefor reduces reaction to aerodynamic forces (flexing, twisting, etc.). That's why it's always used last. A/c should draw fuel from center tank until empty then draw from wing tanks You can switch off center...

Re: JustFlight 1-11 and 748
Ugh, that's a drop of around 28% and 37%.
I think with that, both airplanes are off my list.
And I doubt the alternative to both, the F-27, fares any better.
Thanks for testing!

Re: Training flight crash
Pilot error.
a) You've used the wing fuel first -> HUGE no-no.
b) Tank switching is manual. Center tank valves open -> draw from center. Closed - > draw from wings.
