Many thanks chaps. I'm still flying with MSFS 2024 although I seem to have long periods where I don't fly at all.
I've been waiting for a decent HOTAS to come to the market for some years now but the wait continues.

I'm quite disappointed with the current hardware ...

Unless the replacement RAM was exactly the same type in terms of model it'll probably have different speeds, timings etc.
It's possible the motherboard is trying to run the new RAM at the old RAMs settings unless the BIOS was reset or updated.

Updating the BIOS will be good anyway ...

Just some additional info following on from the above.

Motherboards.

AMD currently have 3 motherboard chipsets in use for their 7000 series processors, those being the A620, B650 and X670. They are shortly due to be replaced by the 800 series chipsets but they're not quite with us yet.

Some would say it's a good time to upgrade and some would say wait, as Intel are releasing their Arrow Lake series of processors in October, AMD releasing their Zen 5 series of processors in the next 2-3 weeks and then on the graphics card front, both AMD and Nvidia are due to release ...

Up until a couple of months ago, I was spending hours each week flying around the world using the SWS Kodiak 100 with one of my mates. His job role changed though and he no longer has as much free time (I work 4 on 4 off) so ...

I must be the odd one out. I watched it having said to a few friends about it and then told them it was 40 minutes of my life I won't get back.
It was nothing short of awful.

Just another thought but does the motherboard have a small (usually 40mm) chipset fan?
