Re: X-Plane 11 My Verdict

Had a quick 10 minute fly earlier on. It seemed a little more fluid although the frame rate itself was no different. I also like the new heat haze effect but I do wish they'd set it to just come from the jet itself and not the bypass when flying an airliner. I also noticed that flywithlua had stoppe...

Re: My Specs for Computer.

Depends on what case you choose. It may already have at least 1 fan installed and may have space for 1 more. It could be 80mm or 120mm.

Let me know what you're swaying towards before you hit the buy button and I'll take a look through it.

Hi Nigel, I wouldn't worry too much about the CPU cooling. The processor comes with its own heatsink and fan when purchased separately and that will be far more basic than the after market options available. Case cooling is equally important and can be achieved quite easily with a 120mm intake fan, ...

Re: My Specs for Computer.

I wouldn't go down the Intel route myself. I just believe that the AMD Ryzen offers better value for money, freeing funds up to be used elsewhere in the spec. As for the Intel spec you posted, I don't think that 350W PSU will cut it. A couple of other observations... I'd reduce the size of the first...

Re: BT or Virgin ?

Have you tried emailing the CEO of Openreach, Clive Selley?

clive.selley@openreach.co.uk

I've messaged him before and he was very helpful.

Re: Just One Very Last Question

The difference is very little indeed although I've read that AMD Ryzen processors are best paired with faster RAM if that's the route you are taking.

I'd rather have the slower RAM and use the money elsewhere in the build.

Re: How many 707's in this photo?

From the comments left on the photo itself on A.net... Visible aircraft include Pan Am DC-8 and 707, BEA Viscount and Comet, BOAC 707 and VC-10, TWA 707 and Air France Breguet 765. Plus two AC DC-8, one AF Breguet Deux-Ponts, one TWA 707, one Air India 707 and a PIA 707 (or 720). I suppose there is ...
