Re: Best PC companies, please

My current build is AMD and it works very well (aside from CTDs in MSFS but that effects both AMD and Intel). Generally AMD processors are favoured by various PC gurus for price/performance. I've never had a problem with AMD and my wife's laptop (Asus), which is also an AMD 7 is superb. I want to sw...

Re: Floating Boats

Some interesting responses here. On the subject of boats neighbours of ours from a few years ago sold up and bought a lovely boat for cruising the waterways of France. They put quite a few miles in - down the Rhone and then up past Toulouse on the Canal du Midi. Their ballast primarily consisted of ...

Floating Boats

Here's a question - aside from flightsim what floats your boat? It doesn't have to be gaming or computer related. Among other things, for me it's music, or more properly the means to listen to music well (within my budget that is) so I annoy my wife enormously with my endless quest for headphones th...

Re: MSFS Aircraft list

I'll be getting the Hawk soon. Alongside my troubles with MSFS we're a bit disrupted by decorating (very slowly as it's me doing it) and my monitor, keyboard, joystick, and throttle etc is perched on a fairly wobbly camping table. Far from ideal as there's not much room but it just about serves. I h...

Re: Happy Birthday Angus Prune (57)

Happy birthday Jim, albeit a bit late. I also thought your first name was Angus but Prune was pushing it. Good to know where you got the moniker from.

Re: MSFS CTD

I don't want to jinx it but I've just had an hour of flying MSFS without crashing (the Sim - not quite so lucky with one flight). As recommended by MS/Asobo I uninstalled and reinstalled all my C++ redistributables and also removed all overclocking. Not sure which one did the job but so far so good....

Re: Best PC companies, please

Hi Paul, I don't know anything about Midland Computers but I have used Scan in the past and can recommend them. Perhaps also consider Overclockers but pretty much any of those already named would probably do the job. I remember Scan in their very early days and they had a difficult start but have im...
