Re: Oculus Quest 2 Settings.

Hi Nigel, I'll see if I can give XP a go this weekend and let you know what I see.

Re: Now Looking at VR!!

Hi Nigel, my Elite strap with battery arrived much earlier than expected. The strap is much more comfortable and easier to find and maintain a good fit than the default. Certainly easier to find and keep the sweet spot in MSFS. If you can stretch to the Elite strap without the battery I recommend it...

Re: Now Looking at VR!!

Hi Nigel, I use a 3rd party cable and it's fine. Doesn't charge the Oculus when in use but that may not be the fault of the cable. BTW the Oculus Elite strap with battery is available to order from Amazon - it is highly recommended but is an extra 99 squid. Oddly, cheaper than it was a few weeks ago...

Re: Now Looking at VR!!

Hi Nigel, I have the Oculus Quest 2. It's a good headset and pretty good in many VR apps. It's okay to good in FSFS, very good in AFS2 and just about okay in X-Plane 11. It has a pretty narrow sweet spot, which is a bit awkward to hit with the standard strap. It is likely the Elite strap would affor...

Re: MSFS UK Calls in the Decorators

I've just completed my first tour with the new UK update. The DEM improvements are very welcome and despite a lot of people working from home there's a marked reduction in office type buildings in place of farms. Tree placement is still problematic. Asobo (in common with others) seem intent on shovi...

Re: How to fly a DC4.

Well, that's an airframe with quite a lot less life in it. Spectacular flying though even if a touch foolhardy.

Also around 2 hours in and currently 8.35Gb completed. I'm going to let it carry on - maybe done in around 3 hours.

Re: MSFS UK Calls in the Decorators

There's a dependency (as before) on an update (1.13.16.0), which you will need to install first. This wasn't evident when I first started the sim but I could see that UK was available in the Marketplace. The download of the update was going on in the background and I was only aware of this when inte...

Very sorry to hear that Mike. You need a dose of "I'm not a cat". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TK5kkZRvfHQ

That should briefly lighten the load.

Amazon Economical with the Replacement

Just had an interesting experience with Amazon. Our broadband went down completely last Friday evening. Suspecting a BT router problem (as last year - the current one had been brought out of storage because the previous one died) I ordered a new Asus router/dsl modem from Amazon (Asus DSL AC68U). Th...
