Re: MSFS 2024 Tech Alpha
Hi Joe, I'm not going near MSFS 2024 for a while but the 7800 XT has made an enormous difference to 2020. Not only do I not get CTDs but I can finally see what the fuss is all about. A flight over London was revelatory - all the buildings display with no loss of FPS or stutters. Previously it's been ...

Re: Happy Birthday chrispbits (66)
Thanks chaps! RL as you say Mike. I've been away in mainland Europe for a couple of months and only recently got back. And then there's catching up on all the stuff that's piled up in the meantime. Also, I've not been simming much as ongoing GPU problems cause frequent CTDs. Soon to buy a 7800 XT so ...

Re: MSFS 2024 Tech Alpha
It does look impressive and I'll probably get it earl 2025. I'm soon to change my GPU from a vanilla 2070 to a 7800 XT, so that's enough expenditure for a bit.

Re: Westland Scout for MSFS (Local Legend 18 by iniBuilds)
Re helicopters - I'm a fan and I'm looking forward to the Scout and Wasp but if there's one thing that's guaranteed to crash MSFS on my PC in pretty short order it's a helicopter. I'm running a 2070 GPU and not on particularly high settings but for some reason ii just can't handle MSFS or World of ...

Re: Westland Scout for MSFS (Local Legend 18 by iniBuilds)
A Wasp is being released at the same time. So two (albeit effectively the same helicopter) for the price of one.

Re: Beam Eye Tracker
Hi Larry, Beam uses Opentrack and this is where the fine calibration takes place. Other then eye tracking Beam has no separate calibration process. I'm impressed with Beam and it appears to work well in all directions although I had to move my camera to below my monitor for best results. If you have ...

Beam Eye Tracker
The Beam Eye Tracker is getting quite a bit of coverage at the moment and after using it for a couple of days I can see why. I bought Beam Eye Tracker yesterday for a little over £23 and if you already have a web cam that's not much at all for what is a pretty good head and eye tracker. I didn't but ...

Re: New Tonka for MSFS
I was thinking along the same lines Ben. I would love to see a good Jag in the sim. Although.not a Brit there is though what looks to be a very good Bronco for MSFS. The Bronco was one of my favourite model kits back in the day.

New Tonka for MSFS
A new Tonka in the way, this time by Indiafoxtecho. It looks to be excellent with, among other things, a working TFR, albeit slaved to the radio altimeter so no look ahead. There's a very good preview on YouTube by an ex Tornado pilot.
