Re: New AH Hurricane.

Great pictures Dave. It looks very nice, and they’ve got the weathering just right. All too often it’s overdone, but on this IPhone it looks very authentic. I won’t be getting it, but just out of curiosity is there a warbird model, with modern radios etc ?

Re: Important Rule For Anyone Who Wants To Do Polar Crossing

The first time I flew that route, in a KLM DC-10, the five centre rows of seats at the back had been removed, and the space used for strapped-down survival gear. It was all crated up, so I've no idea whether firearms were included. After that first flight, I usually flew with British Airways in both...

Re: Did anyone ever buy the Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster ?

Interesting stuff. I saw Mike at Flight Replicas state that his forthcoming B-24 Liberator was proving to be a challenge in terms of model limits ( or at least that is what I understood ). I hope he's found a way round it.

Re: Did anyone ever buy the Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster ?

Ah, thanks for that Ben. I've got a feeling that Mike uses Blender. I remember using Abacus's Aircraft Factory, and it too had limits on polygons and what they categorized as components and assemblies ( e.g. undercarriage ). Abacus released a patch that expanded the capacity, but my brief foray into...

Re: Did anyone ever buy the Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster ?

Blimey! :-O Here's a thing, Dave - as you're a modeller yourself, do you know of an upper poly limit when making a model ? Looking at those figures, the Lancaster has considerably more vertices than the Halifax, but during the testing of the latter, Mike at Flight Replicas said he was approaching th...

Re: Did anyone ever buy the Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster ?

The canopy shape was a problem on the FCS model too - at least so it appeared from screenshots. I wonder why it causes difficulty ? Ed Walters at Plane Design got it perfect.

WH:- Great pictures. The external model looks to be an improvement on the FCS model, so AH are to be applauded for that.

Did anyone ever buy the Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster ?

I'm not looking for an in-depth review because I have no intention of buying it, but I'm curious as to whether anyone here bought it. A much-loved aircraft ( the real one, not the model ), classically British in every way, and yet I don't think I've seen a single screenshot of the AH model here on t...

Re: FSAddOn Bristol Freighter

I liked their Hudson and Anson, and would probably go for this Biffo too if I wasn't waiting for FS2020. I hope it does well for them.
