I'd say that's a perfectly satisfactory system for MSFS. The minimum VRAM spec from Microsoft is 2Gb, but that's a bit of a stretch to say the least. 8Gb will be fine. Looking at the specs some people are using at Avsim, your system is better than a lot of them. However - don't take my word for it. ...

The system RAM and GPU look easily good enough. How much VRAM have you got ? As for the processor, it certainly looks okay to me, but I'll leave that to the experts here.
EDIT: When you say 64-bit OS, which OS ? MSFS requires Windows 10 minimum.

Great to hear you've got it running at last, Nigel. You'll still get the odd CTD occasionally during boot up, as I did a couple of days ago - as usual, it ran fine on the second attempt.
