Re: Cap Badge Airline??
Isn't it amazing how many different things different people can see in one picture! I can see the British Isles in red, with a black Greenwich meridian running down through them and off through the coast of Spain. A lat and long grid on other ocean areas The eagle at the top looks distinctly RAF. Po...

Re: Not another Bloody Auster
Many thanks Lief, I'm now hopping round the farm strips in Kent in this little beauty. You're quite right, my previous downloads had had their tails nipped off compared to the copy which you sent me.

Re: Not another Bloody Auster
All 4 downloads that I've tried so far have yielded a corrupt zip file. I thought that I'd hacked it when I found an Auster AOP9 on Avsim but I should have smelled a rat when it said that the aircraft was built for "The Royal Army". Most strange flight characteristics! Is there some other ...

Re: 1st A380 into EGLL..
I always liked the Tristar autoland: on runway heading and the upwind wing slightly down to stay on the centreline. One main leg touches down and the spoilers partly deploy, the other leg touches and the rest of the spoilers come up. No crab, less stress on the undercarriage. Smooth.

Re: Nightbomber film.
I joined Cyprus Airways from the RAF in 1979, on 707s. But soon went trotting round the Middle East - Beirut for 6 years (the family stayed in Cyprus) and then Bahrain for 7 before retiring to here in 1993. My interest in the Lancaster is that I flew them in the early 50s, after people had stopped s...

Re: Nightbomber film.
' morning Dave,
How did you buy your copy? I can't find any available at the usual on-line stores and a download is impractical here in Cyprus. I'd very like to get a copy of my own.

Nightbomber film.
Some of you may have seen this film before but it's new to me. A one hour documentary shot in 1944 describing Lancaster operations from RAF Hemswell.
