Re: Update to Win 11 Available - Looking for Advice
W10 will be supported for 3 more years, so you could just leave it until you need a new machine. Ben, how the hell do I get round the wife for one!! :poke:  I don’t have one of those to worry about   So far I have been sticking to Win7, but i had not considered the benefit of SW...

Re: News: Pilot Rescued Seconds Before Train Crashes Into Airplane In California
The time clock on the bodycam suggest that they pulled him clear about 5 seconds before the train struck, so it may have been less than 200 yards away as they pulled him free.
Astonishing courage shown by all present.

Not so much suck, squeeze, bang, blow as squeeze, BANG........ or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u18b65Om2jA His gun free "turret" would at least have the gunners feet dangling round his ears from memory. I did once get to crawl round a Lancaster fuselage south of Calgary but the business...

Re: TSR TSR TSR
Like wot Pete said, but he said it first. The roman numerals indicate they were pre 1950 odd too.
I recall hearing the Canberra being referred to as the TSR1 but no idea how definitive that was. My English Electric history is buried under Crimbo preparations.
Kewpie sheep or nothing!

Re: Happy Birthday Filonian (83)
I hope the meeting leaves enough time to celebrate with three 21 year olds and a 20 year old on your return - malts of course.
Have a Happy Birthday and make sure you have enough left over for the upcoming festivities too.
Cheers,
Allan

Re: F1 Saudi Arabia
I watched the Channel 4 edited highlights. I used to like DC, but of late his blinkered view on any Red Bull transgression is getting on my funbags. Track design definitely seems to need addressing with the F1 and F2 carnage that ensued yesterday. To suggest that Max was questionable in his tactics ...

A bit lower than 65000, Mike, but still a lot. Here's the graphs from the government: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases?areaType=overview&areaName=United%20Kingdom I had my booster yesterday, and felt very dizzy afterwards. They had to lie me down in a side room for about 30 minutes...
