Yeah, the report did say they suffered some sort of engine failure. It seemed like a pretty steep decent, that there was no fire I wonder if someone forgot to fuel it up.

Re: Bitzer project

It's probably the third of four prototypes that looked nothing like each other and never entered service. Well, I hope I'm not breaking any rules if I say you're on completely the wrong track there, Joe. Over 3000 of all marks were built including some 1500 just a mile or so from where I lived for ...

Re: Bitzer project

Ah, I think you may have misunderstood the point of the quiz, Ben. The idea is to find the lady's name and not be put off by those aircraft pictures that sneaky Mike has put there to distract you. :agree: Pete I hope so, in which case I may already have the answer. But to me it looks like the combi...

Re: Could This be the End of Steam Railways?

AFAIK, Avgas still has lead in it. It's unfortunate that Avgas and Coal are going to get more expensive and harder to get as time goes on but I think they will still be available, but will they be economic for these historic uses, its just can they pay the price. I have read articles about convertin...

Re: My wife told me.

To be honest, I don't know what to do about it anymore. I live in the SF Bay area in California which was one of the first places in the United State to impose restrictions because of Covid and until last November it was working, infection rates in California were a quarter of what they were in plac...

That is one of the oddest looking bi-planes I think I have ever seen, and that it was actually used for 8 years is quite amazing.

Re: Beech King Air Delivery

Leg 15, Calgary/CYYC to Winnipeg/CYWG, 644 nm Screen shotter was working better today as well as the weather was better. Pretty uneventful flight this time, but I was very disappointed that the scenery near Winnipeg was so green, its January in Canada, it should look like it. Here are the screen sho...

Re: Beech King Air Delivery

Leg 14, Juneau/PAJN to Calgary/CYYC, 831 nm Got the screen capture working this time, daylight start in Juneau meant darkness in Calgary. It was clear around Juneau so got a few good shots, rest of the flight was cloudy so not much good scenery there. Again I promise I am not trying to impersonate A...
