no that was just an example. Taking off from a sea level airport most of the flight sim default aircraft are crap dynams! The 777 for instance should be VR fully loaded in about 10,000 feet with a 20 degree climbout, but I have a job clawing the thing into the air correctly trimmed at the end of hea...

Thanks guys some intersting replies there that all help. I must admit Daves aircraft are all spot on with the dynams as far as I can see, having flown thousands of hours on the VC10, a brief stint HANDS ON in the captains seat and on the conversion squadron sim, the model flies like a good un! Pheno...

Inaccurate flight dynamics
Is it just me or are the FS9 flight dynamics DRASTICALLY WRONG? I recently flew in an MD80 in the states and it performed like a fighter jet! However the one I downloaded is useless and unrealistic. I know the real thing can get off the ground fully laiden on a 6000 foot runway - so I tried this at ...

A good place for classics
Just a quickie....... I love watching the old Bergerac series from the 80's. You can more or less guarantee you will see at least one or two scenes shot at Jersey airport. This results in a plethera of viscounts, vanguards etc with that WONDERFUL whining Dart sound constantly present! I was lucky en...

Hey Peter Heres then gen from LHR. They have built a whole NEW pier called pier 6. I have been inside it and that alone is a monster. It is a unique building built in 2 levels instead of one to either split passengers from arriving/departing OR they can simultaneously unload both decks of the superb...

Ummmm Tonks are you SURE VC10's dont come into LHR anymore? Because I went into work the other day and the other shift told me I had just missed one :-({|= Either that or they saw an SAS MD80 with another 2 blowers bolted on  Also as I live under the 27 right flight path at the end of the runwa...

oh wow thanks guys I spent AGES repainting a VC10 as my personal 'flagship' AS If I won the lottery (a small indulgence) and she looks great on the design page, maybe now I can fly her to KORD. I used to work on the sultans jet and OH BOY would I like one the same if I could - a flying palace. The b...

oops yes quite right about RAF air transport command, quite forgot about them! I spotted a Commer Karrier in the pics there somewhere. Most members of my family wither worked AT Brooklands , Wisley or on VC10 design for Vickers! We have SKYDROL in our blood - born and bred Vicky 10 nuts. I have pri...
