I notice the RN Black Cats have got themselves a new livery and a new airframe. Past they've had a Mk.3 and a Mk.8, both are Mk.8s judging from that photo!

I think one of the guys inadvertently left a tie down still attached, he went into rectify and the pilot applied collective. Tail rotor drive shaft would have snapped when the TR hit the deck IMO. That would explain control, then not!
