Re: Happy Birthday Tomliner (78) & T6flyer (56)
Thanks to everyone for their best wishes. I'm still about and pop in every now and again, but sadly have stopped simming. I'm quite keen to get back into it all one day with MSFS 2022, but at the moment well got other things to think about. I lost my dream job at the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centr...

Re: Happy Birthday Tomliner (76) & T6Flyer (54)
Thanks to everyone for their kind words. So much appreciated. Dont think want many Birthdays like that again. Was lucky enough to be able to go to work and then it was just straight back home for tea and medals. Hopefully things will get better for all of us in the not to distant future, as long as ...

Re: FSX Hawker Hunter - split screens is it possible?
Thanks chaps. Yes been a long time away. I gave up on home simming when after being the 2nd Consultant for the A2A T-6 (was responsible for the airframe and then the other chap, the flight dynamics) and it was released all the 'experts' came out of the woodwork saying this was wrong and that wasn't ...

FSX Hawker Hunter - split screens is it possible?
Hello, Well, been sometime since have been here, but nice to be back. If you remember, I was a few years ago, building replica Spitfires in Cornwall, but that all stopped, and am now employed by the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Museum down at Newquay. We used to run a FSX based Hawker Hunter simulator...

Re: Double up again today - TomLiner (73) and T6Flyer (51)
A belated Thank you to everyone for their kind comments. So much appreciated. I don't sim, anymore, but still pop in every now and again to see what's what and who knows in the future might return to the fold. But I do have a little play at work from time to time using P3Dv4 and Aerofly2 with VR whe...

Re: Some statistics from 200 flights
I have always kept a logbook of all the flying that I have achieved. Besides the usual Pooley's logbooks - now on number 5, I also use an old version of the Skylog program, which works out in a myriad of ways, where and when and in what type. Now up to almost 2000 flights in over 250 types. Some onl...

Re: Spitfire VR Cockpit
It is but will be open when not in use as don't want to make it too claustrophobic for the 'pilot'. Wouldn't be very good for the person that after 5 seconds decides it's not for them (and we have had a few of those already). Just tried it for the first time a few minutes ago and wow, very good inde...

Re: Spitfire VR Cockpit
Thought no one would notice that! Had to test it somewhere, just to make sure the spray was consistent enough. Yes, it's starting to look good. Going to be a busy day tomorrow, trying it all out but it's getting there. After this, we build another and then take it from there. Bit late I think to tak...

Re: Spitfire VR Cockpit
All is going well and she should be leaving us by the end of the week - that is if we stop detailing the airframe and stop 'playing' at being Spitfire Aces (I've yet to make a few holes in a 109, let alone shoot one down!). The controls have all been finished and are awaiting final placement, canopy...

Re: Spitfire VR Cockpit
At the moment we are using DCS World, but will look at other software packages when they have dedicated VR support. The more the merrier. On our test rig we are using Aerofly2 and although many people seem disinterested in it as a simulator, it really is a superb piece of software for £30 and so imm...
