I am not saying that this is the only case when you get this but normally its due to an effect, and quite often its linked to AI. It can be quite a job to narrow it down.

Keith, I have it from somebody based there that no C-130s/VC-10s are allowed to land there as the Crash Cat isn't good enough. Simply put there isn't the fire cover there for those aircraft to operate from there. Somebody obviously thinks that it's not worth the money.

You are absolutely correct in all details bar one small one. That is that the aircraft was actually a 56sqn one painted up in 23sqn markings especially for the Greenham Common airshow.
