Hi Daveb.
Yep they do try your patience thats for sure,my computer booted up normally today,and i have noticed it also booted up a lot quicker than it has of late,and not a sign as yet of that ATAPI failure in the event viewer systems dialog.

Yes it is an old computer now,but it is still my main computer with all my repainting files,flightsim files,so its loss would be unbarable,funny thing is no device is showing any failure symbols,which would sugest may be a driver or two that have become corrupted by something.
