Re: Falling in love again...

That was the FSX Acceleration default Nimitz class carrier. I used lc0277's aicarriers1.zip to place two of them steaming around the Isle of Wight. FIle can be found at the bottom of the page here:

Re: Oh eck! Should i install FS9 looking at this?

Can ya tell which FS version this shot is from...?! :) Just lovin' those shifting water tectures. Much better for judging altitude and speed (50ft, 400 KIAS anyone?!) Had no issues with guages here either. Acceleration restored the glass. I also reckon the visual models are somehow improved. http://...

Re: Oh eck! Should i install FS9 looking at this?

IMHO, no!

Personnally speaking I wouldn't go back to FS9.... esp. now DG's Hunter is working fine and looking better than ever in FSX!

This may be an unpopular opinion though....?? :lazy:

Re: FSX AI Royal Navy Ships!!!

Did you do this using lc0277's AICarriers2r2.zip utility? If so, does this mean it accepts all scenery objects, not just library scenery objects? If the Type-23 (or any other past, present or future ship models) were made using Gmax then perhaps the authors could be persuaded (?) to add hard landing...

Falling in love again...

... I can't help it! Now that DG 'n' RP's glorious Hunters have their cockpit glass reinstated in FSX Acceleration I'm rediscovering them all over again. Its amazing what a difference a small thing like that can make. I love it, I love it, I love it!! :kissu: Buzzing the AI ships at dawn in the FRAD...

Re: Moving Aircraft Carriers in FSX!

Their is also "AI Carrier Battle Groups" (aicarri1.zip) available on FlightSim.com created by LC0277 using the default FSX Carrier, Cruiser and Destroyer. On LC0277's own webpage (http://lc0277.nerim.net) he describes how to make these (and other) SimObjects into AI watercraft. Included is a Google ...

The carriers in FSX Acceleration sound very cool indeed!! I really do hope it'll be possible to do Free Flight as well as Missions. I also hope they can get the carriers rolling and pitching (ideally dependant on wind speed and direction), just as Rhys has in his 3wireX experiments: http://3wirefsx....

I second that... an MDL file would be great, if someone would be kind enough to compile one.

Have a good weekend
