Re: RAF Colerne!

I was stationed at Colerne from 1957-1960, not on the MU, but on the Hastings 1st line. I well remember the many types arriving for mods to be done by the MU, among them the Black Hunters of 111 Sqdn. Ray Sheppard has modelled a very nice Colerne from those days, for FS9 and FSX, complete with AI Ha...

Re: AN26 for FS9/FSX at FlightSim

Many thanks for pointing this one out Dan. I am running it in FSX. The flight deck is like no other that I've seen, and to watch the engines start up in spot view is amazing. The slow throttle response takes some getting used to, as I discovered to my cost after misjudging the approach. I know that ...

Re: Dr1 for FsX

I've downloaded and installed the base package, plus two repaints. No problems encountered, and the aeroplane is superb in looks and nature. However, when I added the Bob Rivera repaint, the whole model disappeared from the FSX menu. It remains in the FSX simobjects aircraft list, but refused to app...

Hi kit.

The scenery in the Gannet shot is a long way from Oshkosh, but quite close to you............. Fairford!

Did it fly like a Gannet?

Quite by accident, opening the cockpit in flight, I found that it will fly with the wings folded. All manoeuvres were carried out, including landing.

There is a Swift parked beside the road, in the village of Upper Hill, Herefordshire. It belongs to Sheppards Store, which at one time was a haven for seekers of "ex WD" stuff. There is also a helicopter, and a couple of tanks parked up. I lived close by for over 20 years, and when I first went ther...

This one has been around the "Urban Myths" for a long time Peter. The F/A-37 Talon is a fictional fighter aircraft of the U.S. Navy in the 2005 film Stealth. The Talon is capable of hypersonic flight with combined Pulse Detonation/Scramjet engines. As the movie's title suggests, the Talon has stealt...
