Re: HU -RAF/RN modern scenery designers

Thanks for the HU Hobby. The readme says they are for FS2004 but the download contains the .mdl files amongst other things so I may be able to convert them to FSX models for use in my Lossiemouth project. :dancer: Edit: I DL'd them and had a look at the models using the Instant Scenery app. There ap...

Re: Llanbedr - EGOD

I have found that most Rwy 12 stuff is pre-FSX and in many cases pre-FS9 too! Some of the stuff works in FSX but as you say the textures are BMP files. I have converted the textures to DDS in some of my experiments and they work fine that way. I just tried the other scenery in stock FSX and while I ...

..and yes they appear to be for FSX only....BUT....for GenX which I don't have. :-(

Not sure if they will work with a stock FSX build.

Re: Llanbedr - EGOD

Something fisshy going on. I've removed all my GenX stuff and any addon EGOD's and even the fault runways are below ground level... My head hurts! That seems odd Ben as I fly from Llanbedr a lot in default FSX terrain and all my runways, taxiways, etc. sit at ground level. :dunno: Did you set...

Re: Llanbedr - EGOD

I'll give it a try for you Ben. I used to do a LOT of plane spotting at Llanbedr while camping at the adjacent Shell Island. Lots of happy memories! :) EDIT: I just checked and it looks like there are some problems on my system using FSX + Accel and no scenery mods in that area (I do have the Snowdo...

Re: FSX on a modest PC

My specs: Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, 1Gb DDR, Nvidia 6600 256Mb...not what you would call cutting edge. I ran a rig only a little bit better than that (P.4 3.4 Ghz, 2 Gb Ram, 6800GS 256 Mb GFX card) for quite a while before I upgraded to my new, more powerful, rig. I was more than happy with the performance...

Indeedie  The brewery appears to be safe.. the major change for us being that our account is now with Marstons. No idea who'll be delivering it :dunno: OOOO! Does that mean you will now be selling Marston's Pedigree? I still miss my pint of Peddi after being over here for 15 years :-( . It wa...

Especially considering all the computers used to get them there were probably 286 based and running in DOS!

Re: New Nvidia drivers today

I got them last night after reading the first post but only tried them out in Armed Assault and they seemed to work OK. I will check out FSX later to see how they perform. I was interested to see your mention of CTDs Rick as I too have had some of those recently but put it down to some messing aroun...
