Re: Oculus Rift in crazy sale: Now is the time to try VR!

Okay thanks. Sounds great and much as I was expecting. I've tried the smaller mobile phone VR and while limited was equally blown away by it's immersion. Do you use the hand motion trackers and how do you deal with not being able to see keyboard, joystick, throttles etc? Do you have to be totally HO...

Re: Prepard3D v4

GPU GeForce GTX 1070 8GB
CPU INTEL(R) Core™ i7-7700K Quad Core 4.20 GHz 8MB Cache LGA1151
The CPU is overclockable but I haven't requested that it is overclocked. I wanted to see how it performs before overclocking.

Re: Oculus Rift in crazy sale: Now is the time to try VR!

Do they have a deal on groinal attachments ?

Is anyone using the Rift or Vive for Flight Simming?
Wondering of it works or just a gimmick?
I'm looking at getting this at some point even if it's just a fad albeit an expensive fad,
but I'm hoping for more.

Re: Prepard3D v4

So I made the mistake of buying PC Pilot this month and reading the Prepar 3D v4 review and now I'm here again :cpu: I'm also a few quid lighter as I've decided to take the plunge, buy a new PC and purchase v4. Especially as everyone is stating massive FPS increases (yes I know FPS is not everything...

Re: How to wreck a spitfire.

The Spitfire that nosed over and was written off is restorable.
The Sea Vixen, while in comparison is less damaged due to the nature of the beast may not fly again.
Demonstrates the difference in complexity of a piston versus a jet aircraft made all the more difficult by being the only one airworthy.

Hurricane turning on a six pence.

I popped down to White Waltham Saturday as it was a nice day and was fortunate to catch a Hurricane and Spitfire from the BBMF. I guess they were part of the Trooping the colour flypast. Not sure why they were at White Waltham? Anyway both aircraft were parked tightly with all the other GA aircraft ...

Re: Trouble!

Good piloting of the chopper. Can't be easy landing at night on a bridge where your not sure of wires, poles and other street furniture.
it's not like they land there every day. Although I suspect they have cased all these potential landing spots at some point.

Re: Trouble!

What made me wonder was a report of a blue helicopter landing on London Bridge.
But I guess Police Choppers are generally blue or dark blue to black.
