Re: Your First Airfix Model?

Great thread

My first Airfix model was given to me by an uncle, a Hawker Harrier which came in a clear plastic bag with a small rubber bulb of glue.

My brother and I never looked back and went on to make hundreds of the things from sailing ships to WW2 warships and Those Gun emplacements with a ...

Re: Elite:Dangerous

Bought it just before Christmas and Love it.

On the original I only ever used the keyboard controls but on ED if found the mouse/keyboard controls quite difficult.
A joystick is much easier.

It is a bit of a grind to get some decent credits but doing a few contracts can boost your bank balance ...

Re: FSX Crashing

Yes nigel there are loads of downloads but they only take appx 30 seconds for each each airline that you choose and with the installer its a very easy simple process for those like me who are only able to turn on the PC and hope it works.

I only selected Airlines that i'm likely to interact with ...

Re: FSX Crashing

I used to have regular CTD's on FSX

Like you i had England,Scotland scenery and Traffic 360

The only way I managed to stop my CTD's after lots of tweaking and reinstalling was to delete Traffic 360

No more CTDs

I now use World of AI traffic and no problems

Re: Blue screen of doom

no restore point, couldnt access any of the hard drive at all, just the blue screen.

A man with a large brain has eventually got me up and running again but it needed a new hard drive to be able to boot the PC.

The old drive is still in place so ive been able to recover most of my stuff but FSX ...

Blue screen of doom

A few days ago I turned on my trusty PC only to be met with a blue screen telling me that the computer is missing files and requires repair, error 0000034

It appears this is a Windows 8 fault and the only way to recover is to use the Recovery Disc.
I then discover that I was supposed to make ...
