Re: Fairey Gannet

Only just had a chance to play with the Gannet. Very nice job with the modelling Rob. I think it could do with some shadowing in the intake area, and some parts look a bit too shiny, but that's a minor thing and it's a matter of personal taste anyway. It's a hell of a lot better than my ...

Re: Fairey Gannet

The rocket visibility is controlled by the fuel in the external 81gal tanks and not be adjusting their own weight, the logic being, after a hard days sub hunting and having used my external fuel I have probably loosed off a few projectiles at anything I came accross and can now land back on somewhat...

Re: Fairey Gannet

Thank you very much for your interest Dave, I am certainly not "Ganneted" out yet I think it's a lovely old flying machine, I'm working on a COD version at the moment but it's really not much of a change from the AS 1 just a colour change, get rid of the radome and add some underwing pods ...

Re: Fairey Gannet

Hi Dave ,
I haven't worked it all out yet either, I think I've got all the right levers in there, just not managed to push/pull them in the right order yet! I did get it working with props feathered but cannot for the life of me remember how I did it! :S

Re: Fairey Gannet

Hi all, The running on at start prob might be something to do with prop pitch, I did sod about with this setting just before I uploaded! Something like "prop beta on ground", I was trying to get the props to stop more quickly when one engine is shut down.Sorry. No speed brake on Gannet, ke...

Re: Father Christmas left a couple of late Xmas presents

I am sorry if there has been a problem with the Gannet, I am still learning the trade and I was not aware of rar's shortcomings, I like it and have never had any difficulty using it, I'm on win7 and have just downloaded the Gannet with no probs, but I see the corrupt file that Rick speaks of, pilot_...

Re: Fairey Gannet

Hi Steve,
Spent all my time there looking over the Gannet, once in that cockpit I lost all track of time, in fact I was on my third or fourth approach to the "Ark" when I got the nod that it was chucking out time, they seemed to see the funny side of the situation though!

Re: Fairey Gannet

I have to-day visited the Midland Air Museum and all the good things people have said about the place are absolutely true, I rang them last week and explained what I was up to and that I was after some cockpit pictures of the Gannet, nothing was to much trouble for them, they set up access to the pi...
