Hi Ben,
If you can't find your desired object in the on line libraries, check out Instant Object Maker.
Haven't made anything with it yet, but the basic idea is to import photo(s) and put shapes to fit within.
It can compensate for perspective if the photo was taken from an angle.

Re: Instant Scenery V2
Mike.. Perhaps an odd question.. is SAMM2 supposed to be able to convert any model to static or is this just for aircraft? Reason I ask is because I've just looked at it.. pointed it to an AI ship (in the Boats folder) I wanted to make a static and it reported no files found. Is it looking for an a...

Re flags:
There's a massive private flagpole near my Daughter's place.
It has been flying the Aussie National Flag for months.
Then we visited just prior to Christmas, to see a huge Jolly Roger in its place.
Didn't realise we'd had a change of Gxxx(sorry) government, heard nothing on the news.

But tell me, Dear Writer......
wtf are THEY interested in BUMS?? What do they think we can do with them?
Logic like that, and they get to be SWMBOs, it's not fair!

Re: Instant Scenery V2
Mike.. I've taken the first step and downloaded SAMM2. Not sure how many other steps there are going to be though  Do you use SAMM2 to convert full models to statics then use Instant Scenery to place them or do you use ISv2 for the whole procedure? I'm sure I had IS once upon a time but it mus...

Re: Instant Scenery V2
The Wessex rotor has been removed and the model shrunk so Mike should have updated this thread. I think Mickey that if you encourage people to modify other people's models that permission to use them will rapidly be withdrawn. Sorry, Brian, I posted the update to "Adding static aircraft FSX&qu...

Re: Instant Scenery V2
I you use SAMM, you still need low-poly aircraft otherwise there will be an fps hit. Definitely so. Have shopped around for the lowest I could find for each aircraft. EDIT 11:48pm and time for bed methinks...but I just realised another way to reduce load on fps, I've reduced some 2048x2048x16 milli...
